Wallace Wells (b. July 1979)[1] is Scott Pilgrim's cool gay roommate and is one of the seven main characters in the Scott Pilgrim franchise. Wallace acts as Scott's voice of reason, with the two meeting each other in college when Wallace asks him a question during a lecture. He and Scott now live together, sharing a double bed as they are unable to afford two separate mattresses. While living together, nearly all of the furniture in their apartment is owned by Wallace. His character is based on real-life Beguiling Manager Chris Butcher, who was Bryan Lee O'Malley's former roommate.
