SA-X agisce senza pietà solo con l'intenzione di causare distruzione e infezione data la sua natura parassita. Di solito il parassita nella sua forma di base è un blob batterico colorato visibile e dopo l'infezione di un ospite assimilerà e adotterà la loro forma, mente e tutto il resto. La X può anche mutarsi come mezzo per uccidere o infettare il loro obiettivo. In questo caso il SA-X assomiglia interamente a Samus forse anche al suo aspetto sotto la tuta di potere mentre in questo stato ora possiede il suo pieno arsenale di armi fino alle bombe di potenza a ampio raggio, travi di ghiaccio e plasma e super missili. Tuttavia, il SA-X è ancora vulnerabile come tutti i parassiti X al DNA Metroid e può essere assorbito.
