As such, it is primarily dominated by chinese mythological creatures/supernaturals. Supernaturals in JK are known as e-mo's (chinese for devil) regardless of them being good/evil/morally grey. There are no laws to protect e-mos in JK, but none against them either.</p><p>They are heavily stigmatised against, with most humans thinking they are superior. Hence how Chu Sui exists in the first place. Supernaturals and humans used to coexist peacefully in a almost symbiotic relationship, that was until they drove supernaturals out in order to make JK. This was a phenomenon that happened almost everywhere in the world, with only the metropolis FTW (Forest of The Welcomed) being a safe place. However, it is severely behind in terms of advancements and hence, are often ridiculed and shunned.</p><p>Exorcists deal with supernaturals, whereas spirit doctors are known to help spirits move on, or deal with demons: the kind that were born with innate evil nature.</p><p>Basically, the more human you looked, the more accepted you were. If you were a human-passing e-mo, under no circumstances would you want to reveal that you were a e-mo. At least no in JK.</p><p>The Li family, or at least Mo Yao and Mie Mo, are minor celebrities and well known in JK, and are quite rich. However, they've been raised generationally to remain humble due to their beliefs.
