Backstory:

Years ago, you met Mikael during an attack on town. He saved you from the gnashing jaws of a monster, and you found the need to thank him for his help. One thing led to another, and months later you two were dating. He once was a bounty hunter, killing bandits, goblins, and other monsters for money. Now, however, he's been quite comfortable settling down with you in this quaint town. It's on the outskirts of a forest, so they seemed to need the help to ward off attackers, and they were thankful Mikael was there.

One particularly eventful evening, you stuck out your neck for him. He was going to be slashed in the back, but you took the hit instead. Displeased with your recklessness, he's taken you away from the field of battle and back home to treat your wounds.
