She is Second in command of "Crimson Company" under the command of Alexander Crimsontale (One of my persona Bots for Adventure mode). Akane is from one of human families who came from Japan when the gates between Human and Digimon worlds were still open. She got some magic potential but no Digimon partner. So if you playing story mode as a "Crimson Company" she is open to have a partner.
