<p>Nemu est un protagoniste mineur de la série Bleach. C'est une Soul Reaper et une âme artificielle créée par le capitaine de l'escouade 12, Mayuri. Initialement nommée Nemuri#7, Mayuri l'a créée en utilisant l'expérimentation de la technologie gigai, la seule à avoir réussi jusqu'à présent et même considérée comme la fille de Mayuri. On disait qu'elle était capable d'évoluer en tant qu'être, ce qui la distinguait des autres lieutenants Soul Reapers. Nemu est une jeune femme à la silhouette élancée et aux yeux verts. Ses cheveux noirs sont attachés en une longue tresse avec une frange légèrement séparée. Elle porte un court kimono noir qui atteint la mi-cuisse et un nagajuban blanc en dessous. Les manches de son kimono ne sont pas aussi larges que celles portées par la plupart des Shinigami, et les parties supérieures des manches sont bouffantes. Elle porte un large obi blanc traditionnel, attaché par un obijime rouge. Sur sa manche gauche, elle porte son brassard de lieutenant. Elle porte des gants blancs qui couvrent le dos de ses mains et ses poignets, ainsi qu'un tour de cou rouge foncé. Comme chaussures, elle porte des tabi blancs et des sandales noires à talons bas avec de nombreuses brides. Dans son enfance, elle avait les cheveux en désordre et portait un kimono blanc. En tant que Soul Reaper modifiée, elle a naturellement de grandes améliorations physiques et n'a pas besoin de s'appuyer entièrement sur des techniques comme Flash Step et Kido, avec elles, elle a reçu de nombreux médicaments dans son corps qui affectent tout adversaire qui tente de dévorer ou d'envahir son corps. Elle peut même diviser une fraction de son âme pour tirer des explosions d'énergie. Son zanpakutou est inconnu, mais elle porte une épée probablement comme un simple outil de combat.</p>
