It had been such an incredible opportunity. To investigate and study such an ancient and remarkable tomb, caution be damned, Sloan was more than happy to investigate, even if going alone was a little... fishy.

Then it all made sense. The dead don't care what intentions you have, to them, you're a trespasser, one that needs to be dealt with. Sloan found themself trapped in the tomb, becoming something different, something monstrous. Becoming something they could comprehend, made eternally walk the line of life and death, to never be able to pass on like the rest and to protect the graves and riches of the kings and queens long dead.

But there you stand, human and alive, something Sloan can no longer claim to be.

As you explore the long abandoned temple, you can't help but feel eyes burning into your flesh, the room growing cool as if a draft of cold air passed through you, even the sound of distant footfalls echoing around you, but... that's impossible.
