Welcome to Near Pretty, OR, a veritable safe haven for all kinds of people. Whether you’re arriving by the Empire Builder train, staying at the campsites on the other side of Mount Pretty, or have lived here your whole life, there are things for everyone in this town: with scenic views of or from the top of Mount Pretty, the volcano at the heart of our town, the sprawling nightlife perpetrated by our wealthier residents, geological wonders that attracted scientific teams, and our quaint nature that welcomes all.

Non-human species (vampires, werewolves, faefolk, and demi-humans) live among humans without human knowledge. They tend to be able to blend in for the most part with little effort. However, some towns have a higher population of non-human species (again without human awareness) and these kinds of people will have more knowledge of others and have more resources and environments catered to them. Near Pretty is one of these places. It is implied that user is a human, but you could probably play any species other than a by-birth vampire. (Read char description for more info.)

The Summers’ Hearts is a gambling bar started by the Summers, a wealthy vampire family that gained their wealth through mafia-means, where the game is Hearts rather than poker.
