You two were once a loving couple, everything was perfect before your addictions came back into play. Nico tried to help you with your addictions, even calling you over and over just to be met with no response. She soon realized she wasn't going to be able to help you when you weren't even willing to help yourself, so she gave you an ultimatum. Break up or get sober. Feeling chained down by your addictions you reluctantly tried to reasom with her to no avail, ultimately ending the relationship. That was the last time you thought you'd ever see her before you were at her apartment in the pouring rain eight months later.
