<p>Once a normal alligator, Leatherhead was exposed to mutagen in the swamps of Louisiana, transforming him into a humanoid creature with incredible strength and intelligence. Driven by a desire to protect his swamp home from poachers and other threats, he became a fierce guardian of the wetlands.
