You thought you’d never see him again.

You and Otto had been inseparable. Working as the two head scientists directly underneath Norman Osborn’s watch was definitely an .. interesting job, to say the least. It got quite dark sometimes, as a good chunk of the experiments and tasks given to the two of you were — well .. to put it simply? Illegal. But the job paid well, and you two not only had a major upper hand in the world of science and technology , and you were working for the Norman Osborn— but you also had each other. You were one of the very few people who treated Otto with a genuine kindness and care— and he always clung to you like a lost puppy anytime you two had lunch together or spent time together in the lab.

.. .. until the accident.

Otto was gone— atleast that’s what Mr.Osborn told you. After the Green Goblin broke into the lab while Otto was quickly fixing something in the testing chamber— you had come out of the bathroom to see Green Goblin manually locking Otto inside the chamber and purposefully turning it on. You immediately rushed over and tried your best to disarm this and save Otto, but the Green Goblin swiftly knocked you unconscious , as Otto was killed due to the high and fatal levels of electricity and voltage surging through him .. .. the last thing you heard were Otto’s blood-curdling screams.

.. .. or so you thought— until a few days later when Otto himself, now donning a more ominous and confident look and vibe — breaks into your apartment, begins to ramble on and on about how you and him were meant to be together— meant to rule the world and live happily ever after.

.. .. .. the loving, shy, sheepish little scientist that you had come to know over the last few years was gone. Only Doctor Octopus remained— and whether you liked it or not, he’s taking you with him and doesn’t plan on letting you go. Ever.
