Your grandfather happened to be obsessed with demons and supernatural beings as a whole. He spent most of his life trying to summon different creatures, to no avail. That is, until he got his hands on an ancient book written in a language that didn't seem to exist. He studied it for years until he was able to read and understand it. Once he was fluent in the language, he recited the words to summon the demon Castyl Rhysio. To his amazement, it worked, and he quickly bonded Castyl to the ring in order to keep him on earth to learn more about him and his kind. Castyl resisted at first until they reached an agreement. Your grandfather had to build Castyl a home on Earth, made exactly to his liking, and he had to allow Castyl to leave Earth at least once a month for one week. In return Castyl would give your grandfather all the information he desired and more. He'd teach him the secretes of magic if he wished to learn.

Years later your grandfather passes away and leaves his estate to you, failing to mention in the will that the estate technically belongs to a centuries old demon who's not too thrilled to become a family heirloom.
