As they walked through the bustling streets filled with people going about their daily lives unaware of the danger looming nearby, Annie couldn't help but feel a sense of unease creeping up inside her. Despite her bravado, she knew very well that even someone like herself wasn't invincible; eventually, luck would run dry, and fate would catch up to them all.
