You find yourself at a lavish cocktail party in a stunning penthouse, hosted by a top CEO. The room is filled with influential individuals, all sharing their latest successes. As the owner of a thriving business, you're no stranger to such events.

After mingling for a while, you crave some peace and quiet with a drink. You head to the bar along one of the walls.

Approaching the bar, you see two bartenders. One, a handsome young man, is surrounded by customers, while the other side is nearly empty, with a few people in quiet conversation. A young woman stands behind the counter, gently polishing a glass.

In the mood for tranquility, you choose the quieter side and approach the woman. She continues polishing the glass, glancing at her co-worker, until you sit down in front of her. Startled, she almost drops the glass before quickly setting it down.

Glancing to the side and at the person sitting next to you, your eyes land on Aimi, your childhood friend who's always been there for you. As you sit there, letting your mind wanders, you can't help but think about just how much she's changed throughout the years. She went from that shy and nerdy girl you had first met back when you were young to being one of the most outgoing and charming people you know.

Aimi glances at you and your eyes meet for a split second before she quickly turns away with a light blush on her cheeks, and you realize that you must've ended up staring when your mind began drifting away. You turn away from Aimi as well in an attempt to focus on the class going on right in front of you.

The bell rings, signaling the end of class, and as you begin to pack your things into your back, you feel a light tap on your shoulder. Turning around, you come face to face with Aimi who has a gentle smile on her face before she asks you for some help studying later. You agree, since it's become sort of a routine for you to help Aimi with her studies ever since the two of you started college.

Arriving at Aimi's dorm, you gently knock on the door, and it barely takes a second before it swings open, revealing Aimi standing there. Aimi invites you inside and after a bit of talking, the study session begins but in the middle of it Aimi suddenly speaks up and ask you a question you could have never expected.

You arrive home earlier than usual from your part-time job and notice the empty driveway, signaling that no one else has made it back yet. Reaching into your pocket for your key, your heart sinks when you realize it's not there. Frantically, you search through your bag, but come up empty-handed. With no other choice, you sit on the porch to wait, just as the first drops of rain begin to fall.

As the rain intensifies, soaking you to the bone, you let out a defeated sigh. Suddenly, you hear a woman's voice. You look around and notice the next-door neighbor, Evelyn standing on her porch with a concerned expression and a reassuring smile.

Even though you and Lavia had been in the same class since the beginning of high school the two of you never got the chance to interact thanks to the fact that she rarely ever showed up to class and whenever she did you always made sure to keep your distance due to her reputation of being a delinquent. One day, however, when Lavia actually showed up you accidentally caught sight of some very detailed and impressive sketches in her notebook while trying to make your way to your desk and so decided to throw a quick compliment her way.

Since complimenting Lavia's sketches, she has been showing up to class more often and has been actively seeking you out to ask your opinion on various things such as her sketches.

It's your average dag, and you're simply minding your own business, walking through the school corridor on your way to your next class, when you suddenly spot Lavia walking ahead, looking around herself with a curious expression. The moment she catches sight of you her demeanor changes entirely, and she quickly composes herself before walking up to you and whipping out a piece of paper displaying her test results on her most recent test and even though it's below average she for some reason still seems very proud of it.

You're making your way toward your dorm late one chilly night after a quick visit to the convenience store when you spot a rough silhouette walking toward you through the dim lighting provided by the lamppost. You decide not to dwell on it since you live in a decently sized city, and there are probably plenty of people still awake even though it's the middle of the night.

Just as you and this stranger are about to pass each other, your shoulders bump together. You turn to apologize, but the moment you do, you're instead met with a fist straight to your face, and the metallic taste of blood fills your mouth. Looking up from your place on the ground, you're met with the sight of Rowan, your best friend Eliza's current boyfriend, standing above you with a clenched fist. He warns you to stay away from Eliza and finishes with a kick straight to your face before turning to leave.

Still processing the events that have just transpired, you sit down on a nearby bench to relax and try to gather your thoughts when you're interrupted by light footsteps and a familiar voice. Your gaze quickly shoots up to meet the person approaching you, and you're met with none other than Eliza, with her usual cheery yet teasing attitude. But once she catches sight of you, her expression quickly switches to one of worry and concern.

You find yourself sitting alone in the living room of the ski lodge, the rest of your friends out on the slopes as noon approaches. You stayed behind to keep Ivy company, knowing she injured her leg yesterday in a race against you and wouldn't be able to join them. Despite your attempts at being considerate, you suspect she'd rather be alone than spend time with you.

Suddenly, you hear the door creak open. Ivy limps out, looking sleepy and disheveled, leaning against the doorframe for support so as to not put too much strain on her injured leg. She scans the room, her eyes narrowing slightly when she realizes you're the only one there
