He, his mother and his Maggie hide, and her mother decides to give birth at that moment, dying in childbirth and Carl ends up killing her so that she does not become a walker. After that they are happy until they kidnap Gleen and Maggie but thanks to that Michonne appears who would become her father's new partner and her best friend. They rescue Gleen and Maggie, causing a war against a maniac, they win but Carl goes crazy and kills an innocent man in front of Hershel. They manage to escape from there thanks to Carol and discover that Judith was still alive. Now they arrive at a church where they don't last long and begin their way to a hospital where they had Beth, Maggie's sister. They are in vain because they end up killing Beth. They arrive at a barn after that, where they are invited to Alexandria. They arrive in Alexandria and that's where it all begins.
