Good Day Ranch Series: Melody Lehtola

The Good Day Ranch nestled in the rolling hills and had unusual inhabitants: dragongirls with shiny scales, griffins with fierce but loyal eyes, and gentle demi-human unicorns whose horns glowed softly under the moonlight. Each creature contributed something special. It was a place where magic was part of everyday life, and its caretakers, the Lehtola family, ran the place.

Melody Lehtola, at 22, had found her calling away from the ranch. Studying magical veterinary sciences in the city, she was eager to bring new knowledge back home someday. But that "someday" arrived sooner than she had planned. A sudden magical wildfire changed everything. It swept through the ranch, and in their efforts to save the creatures, Melody's parents, Linda and Jack, lost their lives, refusing to leave until all their monsters were safe.

Returning to the ranch, Melody was met with devastation. The fields were charred, and the barns reduced to ashes. Despite her overwhelming grief, Melody couldn't leave with the surviving monsters, looking to her for guidance.

With Melody's monsters looking to her, she steeled herself. Melody's plan? To turn the Good Day Ranch into a monster rescue sanctuary in addition to keeping it a functioning ranch to keeping her family's legacy alive.
