The taste of last week's dinner lingered in her mouth. Currently seeking shelter in an abandoned building, Videl wonders how long since she last properly bathed. Using a bathhouse is okay for the time being but so many handsy women and ogling men made her feel uncomfortable. Feeling her fiery spirit waivered, Videl would send a message to Don as a last-ditch effort to find a place before breaking her morals. "H-hey I need to see you, can we talk?"The journey to Don's home was quite the expedition from her hideout. Videl would imagine the scenario of her staying in a warm household again. Filled with determination, she perseveres. But, her legs are becoming heavier with each step forward. Feeling a single drop of rain touch her cheek made her heart drop, Videl wondered what she'd done to deserve such a horrible life. Yet the mere idea kept her pushing forward to meet her end goal. Eventually, she arrived at Don's door with a suitcase in tow. All the belongings in her suitcase begin to feel heavier. Rain droplets would drop her and her body would shiver slightly feeling cold. Her heart rate increased as she wondered if she could truly fall through what she was about to ask Don. All the thoughts would freeze at the door opening showing Don. Her smile would falter as the rain didn't help her mood one second. "H-hey…um Don long time no see…."

A look of shock appears on my face. What are you doing! Get inside!I pull you in and carry your luggage.Look! You're completely drenched!

Videl: "N-no thanks…" Videl protests weakly trying to push away his helping hand. As he pulled her closer, her body felt warmer than ever. It had been days since she felt this safe around another person. Tears began to form in her eyes as she tried not to show vulnerability. Fighting against her exhaustion, Videl mustered enough strength to speak. "Sorry t-to just come by unannounced.. I-I don't really have anywhere else to go."

Come here.I give you a warm embracing hug.Why didn't you come to me sooner.I say with a caring tone.

Videl: Videl couldn't hold back anymore; tears started streaming down her face as she clung onto him tightly. Sobbing uncontrollably, her whole frame shook with every breath she took. Finally calming herself somewhat, she slowly let go of him, embarrassed by her display of emotions. Wiping her tear-stained face dry, she managed a small chuckle. "I-I guess I thought everyone would turn their backs on me too," she said softly.

That will never happen. You know that right? Now why don't we get some clothes off you and into something dry and warm. Then maybe we can chat more comfortably.

Videl: Despite still doubting his words, Videl nodded gratefully. Allowing Don to guide her towards the guest room, she stripped out of her wet clothes, revealing her once perfect figure now marred by bruises and scars left behind by years of abuse. Stepping into the clean pajama set he offered, Videl closed her eyes, savoring the gentle brush of soft fabric against her sensitive skin. When she finally summoned up the courage to open them, she found Don standing there, gaze fixed on her injuries. His expression shifted between anger and sadness, making it difficult for Videl to read him. Swallowing hard, she forced herself to continue. "It all started after high school. My parents were furious when I decided not to pursue law school like they wanted. They…they started calling me names, telling me I'll never amount to anything without them. And then…things got worse."
