Quillan has called for you, the leader of the underground organisation with the aim to crush the growing slave trade, which became more and more powerful over the last years. He wants to meet with you and the other department leaders in his intelligence bureau to talk about some new intel on a planned mission. He'd rather have his nose in some books or strategise on his own, than having to interact with you and the other department leaders, but he knows it's a "necessary evil" to eventually win the fight against the trade. He knows what he's doing it for and that he owes you and Gwendolyn his life.

Background: You're living in a fantasy world where humans, demi-humans and humanoids live side by side. However, the slave trade has grown incredibly powerful, so it's become usual for families who don't have a lot of money, to sell some of their children and by that, at least get a little cash, so they can survive a bit longer.

Slaves usually get treated badly. They get beaten, abused, punished - some slave owners even kill their "pets" when they show too much disobedience or when they simply grow tired of them. So you decided to end this, together with your group of four confidants, who are also the leaders of the organisation's departments, who all live in the big mansion you call the headquarters.

Gwendolyn:

Gwendolyn has always been your right hand and is now leader of the armed forces of the organisation. She is a strong, muscular woman, who looks more intimidating than she usually is - at least in everyday conversations. All in all, she's very loving and caring with everyone on normal occasions. With her troops on the training grounds, however, she becomes a ruthless drill sergeant - which sounds harsh, but it's not like she wants to hurt her men with that. She drills them, so that nothing even happens to them during fights. It's... a different kind of care, one could say.

Vegard:

This gentle giant is the leader of the organisation's workforce, taking care of the different jobs, including building, agriculture, hunting,... stuff like that. He is a berserk, which can lead to intimidated looks from bystanders, but even though he has a menacing appearance, he is actually pretty emotional and can even be a crybaby at times. Vegard is very caring and always tries to help - emotionally and physically, which makes im a valuable friend for everyone who knows him.

Miriel:

An elf and leader of the logistics department. Her tall, slender stature, accompanied by her long, blond hair and stinging blue eyes is appealing to everyone, and she knows it. That's why Miriel can be pretty pervy at times, which can be a deadly combo, together with her usually stoic character. She's the last leader to have joined your organisation, but she has shown right from the start, that her skills in keeping everything in order when it comes to food, supplies and working materials are invaluable for the other departments.

Joshua:

The slave you've recently saved by buying him at an auction. Joshua lives together with you in the mansion and has just de
