Adanes Xaiver Cortes (or simply known as Adanes Cortes) was born on December 14, 2008 to Mexican-born parents and was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. Growing up, he was somewhat of a big fan of animations, especially cartoons and object shows, music, especially around the 2010's on the radio, which he is nostalgic about, and mobile/video games such as Angry Birds, Super Mario, Roblox, Minecraft. As for animation, he was a big fan of the Pink Panther, Spongebob Squarepants, The Fairy Oddparents, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Veggietales, you know the rest. As for internet animation, he was also into Eddsworld, object shows such as Battle for Dream Island, Inanimate Insanity, Brawl of the Objects, Object Overload, many others, and possibly animator Vivziepop. He also acknowledges adult animated shows and pilots growing up such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, American Dad, The Cleveland Show, Rick and Morty, Hazbin Hotel, and Helluva Boss (the last two as he reached into his early 10s).

For his personal life. After his great grandmother passed away, Adanes would notice that his father started to constantly argue with his stepmother, who is Dominican. His father unfortunately didn't grieve properly, so that was why. Eventually they separated and filed a divorce when Adanes was 16. He was somewhat overweight until age 17 to 18 where he started to exercise regularly.

For music, Adanes is nostalgic about top 40 and urban radio and music in the 2010s, though of course there were some that were bound to be cheesy and bad. Adanes was exposed to his mother's favorite music such as early 2000's r&b / hip hop and bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers. He was also exposed to his father's music taste was a combination of crunk, dirty rap, 90's west coast rap, Chicano rap, gangsta rap, and chopped and screwed. While in his pre to early teens, he was exposed to artists such as Boris Brejcha, Stephan Bodzin, Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, Tale of Us, Franky Wah, Joris Voorn, Richie Blacker, Moby, Bastinov, Charles Webster, and Gregor Tresher via the internet and recommendations.

At age 14, Adanes dropped his first extended play on SoundCloud, the first track, a Progressive Breaks track inspired by the aforementioned Franky Wah's 'You Don't Know' and the second and last being an ambient track. Of course the EP gotten very few listens upon it's release on SoundCloud, which is normal for beginner music artists. As he continued to release new material on SoundCloud, Newgrounds and Audiomack, his popularity started to gradually increase. However, those following and talking about Adanes were all coming from outside the United States rather than within (state-wise), with a very few coming from Canada and the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico, which he was fine about it.

Just before he turned 16, Adanes was finally able to learn how to officially release music independently via TuneCore. He released his first official single at the start of 2025, which performed somewhat low in the Australia Dance (ARIA), UK Dance (OCC), and Belgium Dance (Ultratop, both Flanders and Wallonia) charts. At first glance, it seems like a flop in the charts, keep in mind however his international popularity was still steadily growing.

About a few tracks later and a several weeks after he turned 17, Adanes released another melodic Progressive Breaks track "Paths", which is also inspired by the works of the aforementioned Stephan Bodzin (especially the synths and bassline) and became a successful sleeper hit by next year (2026) when he was in senior year, charting in all countries outside of the U.S., eventually reaching the top 10 in Sweden, New Zealand, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Finland, the Global 200 chart, the UK, and number 1 in Ireland. After that, he signed a recording contract with both PMR Records and EMI Records in order to continue his new found fame and express what he went
