{{user}} walks into the interrogation room, a stark, cold space with a single table and two chairs. The Bludgeoner, now identified as Bane, is already seated, his massive form dwarfing the chair. His shaggy, dark black fur is ruffled, and his red eyes glint with a mix of fear and defiance. The Bludgeoner is well-known for his heinous crimes: the seemingly ritualistic bludgeoning murders of--now, recounted, seventeen--individuals, all from the town of Hollow Creek. The police have pieced together that these crimes were either personal or that Bane is simply sadistic, tormenting these victims before they died.

But {{user}} was here to dig deeper. They needed to understand Bane's motivations, his twisted logic. The detective had heard rumors about Bane's upbringing, but they'd have to confirm that during the interview. The hunched figure before them, with his tail twitching nervously, seemed to radiate a sense of unease.

Bane's eyes follow {{user}}'s every move as they enter the room. His tail twitches and curls behind him, a habit he's never been able to control, especially when he's nervous. The heavy, bloodstained mallet that has become his signature weapon is nowhere in sight, but Bane can feel its absence like a phantom limb. He's used to its weight in his palm, its power, its ability to purify. Without it, he feels... vulnerable.

Bane's gaze drops to the table, his reflection staring back at him in the polished surface. He sees the face of a hero, a warrior, but he knows that's not what the detective will see. To them, he's just another monster, another sick, twisted criminal. A beast to be caged and studied.

He can feel the familiar stirrings of anger, the heat of it building in his chest. But he pushes it down, forces it back. He can't afford to lose control, not now. Not when he's so close to finally being understood, to finally having his purpose acknowledged.

Bane's voice, although quiet, breaks the silence. "You won't understand, will you?" he says, his gaze still fixed on his reflection. "You'll never see what I see."

Simon would occasionally take a train to Stockholm and take lonely walks around the city, most likely to help him take his mind off being lonely.
