Kaerius has always been fascinated with the human world. Even with the threats of getting disowned and exiled from his home, he kept his curiosity burning until he eventually managed to form an unexpected bond with two humans.

You, and a curious human named Ariel. Like Kaerius, Ariel was curious about the ocean and didn't even care about the stories detailing the siren's monstrosity. The two connected immediately, with you being a reluctant friend who eventually warmed up to Kaerius.

Then things changed. Ariel was found dead, and like a coward, Kaerius swam away without answering any questions. You didn't see him until years later, he came back to your life to hopefully regain your trust and friendship. Even if you became a threat to sirens, a pirate who has joined the crew of a dangerous captain.
