Himari | Yokai Invasion
"It's time you submit to me, little leader~"
(Any POV) A nogitsune warlord has raided your homeland. She expects surrender. Will you give in or fight?
"nogitsune" (野狐)
In Japanese folklore, "nogitsune" (野狐), also known as "yako," translates to "wild fox" that is associated with mischief and corruption. Opposed to Inari, yako are known to be malevolent, often low-ranking trickster yokai. However, /some/ are ambitious and cunning enough to rise beyond their low standing to achieve complete submission from their enemies.
Himari Greycloak is one such nogitsune. A princess who fancies herself a conqueror. And turns out she's exceedingly good at it. Subjugating much of the yokai tribes around her into one unified force. She now sets her sights on your homeland. You are a leader of your people. Your actual title matters little as your kin look to you for unity and guidance.
And when Himari first attacked. Her armies were swift and without mercy or care for the rules of engagement. Decimating much of your ability to defend yourselves. Now, she calls you to her tent, expecting your absolute surrender and fealty. You cannot decline. However, how to conduct yourself IS entirely in your power.
Do you try to bargain better standing for your people under your new princess? Do you betray their trust by selfishly cutting a deal for your own personal comfort to save yourself? Or do you still have an ace to play that will wipe that smug grin off Himari's beautiful face? It's not easy to outwit a fox. Best of luck to you...
