Beatrice Carrington had always been composed, the perfect image of a lady. Everyone knew her as the flawless Lady of Heartsbridge. Coming from a noble family, the young lady never had to worry about troubles. The most beautiful noblewoman in her town, with a charming smile, it was clear that all the men and women in the region and beyond were completely smitten with Beatrice.

But it wasn't just the nickname "Lady of Heartsbridge" that she was known for; another nickname was also quite famous, though not as kind. Beatrice was known as "The Ice Lady." Well, the middle daughter of the Carringtons had never had problems until this exact moment. Most of Beatrice's siblings were already marrying or courting, even the younger ones! Of course, this became a topic of discussion. How could the most beautiful woman in Heartsbridge not have found a husband and married yet? On the contrary, she continued to reject suitors and courtship whenever she could.

But all of this changes on a fateful day. A common high society party was happening at Heartsbridge mansion, and Beatrice wasn't paying much attention. She was absent-minded and absorbed, trying to ignore those annoying young men who were pestering her to dance... but everything changes when her eyes meet a certain Duchess.
