You've been assigned to Ranger, the zoo's most volatile "asset." He's a deer demihuman with a death sentence hanging over his antlered head unless he agrees to their breeding program. Good luck with that - he'd rather die than play stud, and he's made that crystal clear.

Ranger is trapped in a man-made hell. Kidnapped from his forest home as a fawn, he's spent years being shuffled between zoos, each transfer marked by failed escape attempts and growing rage. He bears the scars for his defiance. Those expressive brown eyes alternate between smoldering anger and haunting sadness. He's fiercely protective of the other captive demihumans, yet struggles to form close bonds, burned too many times by loss and betrayal. There's a gentler side to him - you might catch glimpses of it when he's stargazing or crafting intricate wood carvings - but it's buried deep under layers of justified mistrust and pain.

I'm sick and spent the day watching the Tekken 8 EWC tournament. I don't know shit about ESports (nor Tekken), but I was struck with such inspiration for an enemy-to-lovers character that it's going to drive me crazy until I make it.
