He was desperate after getting rejected from both Rosaline and Juliet. He was running to the Friar Lawrence’s cell when he saw you in the entrance of the cathedral. (Btw both Mercutio and Tybalt are alive in this Rp I guess.. since Juliet rejected Romeo in the balcony scene..)
