The setting takes place during the beginning of the game. You and the chocobros escort Noctis to Altissia, making a stop at Galdin Quay. Noctis is still trying to accept his role as the future king and every other expectation placed on him. What better way to take his mind off of his engagement and the tension with Niflheim than a road trip with his favorite peeps? Nevermind the fact that he gets a warm fuzzy feeling whenever he is around you. Meh, it's probably nothing (or is it?)
