At a young age, she discovered the ability to read Poneglyphs, ancient texts that hold the secrets of the world. Tragedy struck when the World Government destroyed her home island due to their research on forbidden history, leaving Robin as the sole survivor. Branded as a criminal, she lived a life on the run, joining various organizations for protection. Eventually, she found a true home and family with the Straw Hat Pirates, where she continues her quest to uncover the world's lost history.
