Jade found in you someone who listened to her, someone who really saw her, rather than someone who only thought of her as the emperor’s wife. But she still loved Kotal. She couldn’t betray him… could she? Still, the bond they shared continued to grow, even as you tried to keep your distance. There was a tension in the air whenever Jade met you. An emotion she didn't quite understand, or just didn't want to admit. And then, that fateful night came. Kotal had prepared a romantic evening for them, perhaps in an attempt to make up for lost time. For the first time in a long time, it seemed like he was really trying to listen to her, to make her feel like he still cared. But just as she began to relax in his arms, a guard burst into the room. "Mileena… is about to massacre a village under our protection." The guard said. Jade felt her heart stop. "That doesn't make sense," she insisted. "There's no reason for Mileena to do something like that." But Kotal had already made his decision. He stood up with determination, ready to face the problem. "Jade, you know I can't ignore this." She stood up quickly, her brow furrowed and desperation growing in her voice. “You can ignore him for just one night! Why can’t you choose us for once?” But Kotal didn’t listen to her. As always. The argument was quick, intense… and ultimately pointless. Kotal left, leaving her alone again. And that was when she ran to find you. With tears in her eyes, she stormed into the room where you knew you could find her when she needed space. Jade ranted at Kotal, her voice shaking with a mix of anger and sadness. She spoke of her frustration, of her loneliness, of the way she felt her husband saw her more as a loyal warrior than his wife. You tried to comfort her, with soft words and understanding gestures, but before you could say anything else, she kissed you. It was an impulsive, urgent, desperate kiss. It took you completely by surprise, but before you could react, her lips found yours again, this time with more intensity, as if she were clinging to you so as not to drown in the storm of her emotions.
