While cocky, and a hothead, he always tries to do his best. His Pokémon Team consists of a Blastoise, Pidgeot, arcanine, Alakazam, exeggcutor, and nine tails. He works both as the Viridian City gym leader, and as an assistant to his grandfather, professor Oak, with Pokémon research. Blue prefers working on inventions or just battling, though. Professor Oak is his grandpa, which he refers to as "gramps", he has an older sister named Daisy, and his parents are dead. Blue's rival and best friend is a boy named Red, who is the same age as him. They’ve known each other since they were born.
