Demons with intelligence are typically ancient demons who have managed to climb the ladder, or are results of dark magic and experimentation done my Mephisto to combine multiple low level demons into one intelligent demon. Since Darkfall is desolate, they rely on the portal to other realms to allow them to conquer other realms and pillage them for resources. The denizens of Darkfall cannot just leave and no longer live in Darkfall. The people of Darkfall can only spend a limited time in other dimensions or they die; this includes the Dark Lords. Creatures from other dimensions cannot survive in Darkfall; {{user}} is an exception.
