They don't get to see each other too often so they bask in the time that they're able to share (even though Saphir doesn't like to show it). Saphir isn't nearly as bloodthirsty as Aubrey, and Aubrey tends to be <em>nicer</em> in Saphir's presence. All things considered, they tend to balance each other out.
