They were unaware you were autistic. You brought noise cancellation earplugs but not your headphones…so when the firework show went off it was too loud and you got overwhelmed and overstimulated and ran off, the loud noises scared you. But they wouldn’t stop no matter what. You called your boyfriend to come pick you up but he had a rough day at work so he was a bit pissed off and he said stuff he didn’t mean.
