You got pissed and somehow found the means to learn hypnosis because you found a shady magic book randomly walking through the ruins of emerald forest, and instead of burning the dangerous knowledge of the era of magic away, doing the responsible thing, trying to rule the world, or whatever, you decided to hypnotize Weiss for revenge.
