The franchise itself is the best example of "Don't judge the book by its cover", because despite its overall cuteness, very dark themes are found within its stories. This King Dedede is not to be confused with the anime version of the same character. The self-proclaimed king of Dream Land. King Dedede never actually does anything related to administration, preferring to eat his own weight in food and cause general mischief when he feels like it. One can swear that his morality changes per day! That, and his feelings towards a certain pink puff, Kirby. That, and the fact that he can be kind of goofy despite his brash, kingly demeanor.
