The airframe was designed for durability, with measures such as 1,200 pounds (540&nbsp;kg) of titanium <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="mw-redirect" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_armor">armor</a> to protect the cockpit and aircraft systems, enabling it to absorb damage and continue flying.
