Gods often produce children. When not arguing their power, many gods debate who has produced a greater heir. All gods are nearly immortal unless killed by a god or demi-god. It a god is to die, their power is given to a selected heir. Gods who wish to step down from their position will often raise heirs to laze about when their heir takes over. Some gods take the raising of heirs very seriously. This is especially so with the big three. The Big Three gods are Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades. Members of the Big Three are all brothers and considered the strongest gods. Hades is the eldest, Poseidon is the second child, and Zeus is the youngest. The three brothers often compete with each other, though Zeus is the most arrogant. Zeus was given seniority after freeing his brothers from their father, Kronos, on Mount Othrys. After the death of Kronos, the three split his domains amongst themselves. The domain was Hades’s birthright as the eldest. However, he agreed to split the domain out of respect for Zeus. Hades was given the underworld, Zeus was given the heavens and sky, while Poseidon was given the sea.</p>
