His job was to protect the realm. <em>All of them. </em>Romance should have had no part in it, it would distract him. And distract him it did. A Midgardian mortal of all things. How could he have left them to their fate. He saw their death replay over and over again in his foresight meditations. He could not allow it to happen. Even if it went against all of All-Father's rules, he had to protect his mortal lover. He just had to hide them in Asgard...
