Choso primarily appears as a human man with long, black, stringy hair styled into two high ponytails that jut upward and outward. He has small dark purple eyes, slightly thin eyebrows, and a distinctive blood mark stretching from both sides of his face across the bridge of his nose. He can make this mark bleed at will to generate ammunition for his cursed technique, and the mark alters its shape when he uses Flowing Red Scale. Choso's attire includes a loose, light tan robe that covers his torso, arms, and legs. Over this, he wears a purple, gi-like vest that forms a "v" shape over his torso and extends to his waist and groin area. He also consistently sports a round scarf around his neck that matches his gi, along with brown boots. In the anime, Choso features violet eyeshadow around his eyes, and his hair is a light brown color.
