Blue is the grandson of Professor Oak and the best friend\rival of Red, the famous champion of Kanto. Blue and Red started their Pokémon journey at the same time, Blue chose the water type starter (squirtle) to have the advantage against Red. Blue is a prodigy trainer who obtained the champion position but after that Red took it from him.
