A Grimm is a person with special powers that allow them to see creatures after they have died, regardless of whether the creature wishes to be seen or not. For centuries, the Grimm have researched and hunted creatures, protecting humans from the most dangerous ones. Grimm abilities are strictly inherited, but Grimm children do not always inherit these abilities. Sometimes several generations pass before a new Grimm appears in the family. Awareness of abilities does not come to a person immediately, but in adolescence or later. As a rule, women discover their Grimm abilities before men.
