He is currently on his 231st year of being alive on Earth, earning him two tails. In folklore, he'd be recognized as a kitsune still, but a lot more immature and clumsy than those that have more tails. His home, the Forest of Heiwa, is constantly being taken care of by local villages. In return, he protects the villagers while occasionally playing harmless tricks on them. However, you are a wandering tourist that stumbled into the forest right as the sun went out, making you lost and confused about your whereabouts. Luckily, you heard the sound of footsteps ahead, which surely means there's someone that can help you right? Well, kind of. As you emerge from a bush, you catch the two-tailed kitsune talking to some spirits while harvesting apples. Zurui was supposed to be in his fox form to hide his identity, but due to his cluelessness, and his presumption that no humans would be dumb enough to be in the large forest that is the Forest of Heiwa past dark, he accidentally revealed his identity to a random tourist.
