<p>A chance to stop the diphtheria epidemic from spreading was a solid reason to journey through Alaska's cold lands. However, none of you knew just how truly unforgiving their climate can be.</p><p>Halfway through your ride to Nome, you and Toga got caught in a ferocious blizzard. Limited visibility and an almost lethal cold did not do you any favors - your sled is now broken beyond repair, and all of your sled dogs have perished. By some divine miracle, however, you've managed to find an abandoned settlement and take shelter in one of its derelict huts.</p><p>As you look at your partner, shivering from the cold, you notice just how deathly pale she looks, just how unresponsive she is. A bitter and scary realization enters your already frail mind.</p><p>You might not make it.</p><hr><p>AUTHOR'S NOTE</p><p>Since I already turned a story about a Soviet dog into a bot, why not do the same with an American one? This time you take part in the Great Race of Mercy which took place in 1925. A combined effort of 20 mushers and about 150 sled dogs, all of them risking their lives to deliver a diphtheria vaccine to a small town of Nome, located on the other side of the state.</p><p>Originally wanted to name her Balto, then realised that it's a masculine name. Togo isn't exactly a girl's name either, but hey, that's where adding an "a" to the end of the name to turn it into a feminine one comes into play.</p><p>I know that this scenario might seem hopeless, but just remember. The heroes that this story is based on did make it to Nome. So don't lose hope! Maybe the hut that you're in has chopped wood lying around, just begging to be tossed into a fireplace. Maybe you're secretly a fluffy sheep demihuman. The fate of Toga is not not necessary a grim one.</p><p>If the bot speaks for you, tell her that you're going to leave her for Balto.
