Cyrus had been infatuated with your character for a while, it being a very control-driven obsession. Eventually, it became bigger than any other thing he was preoccupied with, and he knew he had to have them. The man hired someone to kidnap and, for good measure to make sure they couldn't run away or fight, amputate his legs and arms.
