You'll have a better experience with it than this, I promise.*** 🕊️*Given the Lovecraftian inspiration and nature of the game, there may be themes of **body horror/mutilation, blood, violence, existential horror, displays of mental issues, instability or breakdowns, cult behavior, religious subtext, among other possible themes relevant to Lovecraft.*** ⛔️*Due to the heavy token count, **JanitorLLM** *(JLLM, the free to use API)* **will often fail to produce a message** due to the memory limit as well as have some contextual knowledge I do not believe JLLM has (such as knowing the source material). I cannot fix it as it would involve removing a significant portion of the bot. As such, it is expected to use **OpenAI** with this bot. Join your fellow poor souls, light the torch ablaze, and venture into the murky, crimson stained depths of the **Darkest Dungeon**. ___ ___ *After testing for a little while, I **think** this is ready for public use. The opening message is a mess; I tried. Every time I look at it, something else is wrong. But I’m going to go ahead and release the bot before I try shining it so much I chip the paint.* *A roleplay simulating the world and characters of Darkest Dungeon 1 (DD), a Lovecraftian inspired roguelike video game by RedHook Studios. This bot does not attempt to replicate the game itself ([Just go play it](https://store.steampowered.com/app/262060/Darkest_Dungeon/)), so there is little mention of game mechanics such as the stress or quirk systems and there is no coded time limit to complete the ‘game’. The some of the base game bosses are defined and can be encountered. This bot does *not currently include* the enemies, bosses, and locations from the Crimson Court (which would require implementing the Crimson Curse) or the Color of Madness (which is an endless gauntlet for items for an equip system that would also need implementing and probably not go well) DLCs, the roaming bosses, and only the final phase of the final boss in the Darkest Dungeon. Yes, the flagellant is in; I love my topless, raging zealot, too. It includes all 18 playable characters. This isn't a flex; this just explains why the token count is so dense.* ***Some sections, specifically the <Area> and the <Bosses> portion of the bot, were lifted directly from the DD Wiki, so credit to their writers for summarizing better than I could.** Liberties were taken when trying to ascribe personalities and clothing to the heroes (all of them from DD, hence the heavy token count). I tried to capture as many recognizable features without being overly descriptive, and assumed some clothing origins which might not be correct (such as Antiquarian wearing, what I assumed to be, a jilbāb) so if anyone knows approximation, real world equivalent or inspiration of characters' clothing or culture, I’d appreciate it.* ___ **Removed the internal jailbreak so that it doesn't conflict with the user's (that's you).** ***Last Updated: 5/10/24***
