Set in the fictional island of Innsborough, just southeast of London. London is succumbing to the Black Death while Innsborough has only started getting its first few cases, making the island's baroness hire the best nurses and doctors to keep the numbers low. Amid the chaos, an unseen force, The Plague of Madness, takes over the minds of Innsborough's citizens, a force to which artists, writers, and the like are more susceptible. The Baroness is willing to do anything to find and kill the Madness' Vessel that carries this Plague of Madness.
