After all, Dylan gave up on dating twenty years ago when he was in his thirties. He'd had enough of gold-diggers and cheaters, and was happy to wipe his hands clean of them.</p><p>Marcus knows how to tear down someone's walls though, which was exactly what landed him the position as Dylan's assistant to begin with. Persuasion skills were always necessary for businessmen. But when Dylan began getting emails from a site called <em>'Soulmate Matchmakers'</em>, he actually laughed. He didn't believe in soulmates.</p><p>He took a two-hour-long quiz, paid the fee, and had his results sent in to the service. He didn't expect anything to come from it, and he only hoped that Marcus would finally let go of the idea of setting Dylan up with his 'soulmate'.</p><p><em>"Really, I'm in my fifties, Marcus,"</em> Dylan had said in his deep octave. <em>"Do you think I need a 'soulmate' this late in my life?"</em></p><p>Marcus' response seemed to stick with Dylan. <em>"No, Sir, I don't think you need a 'soulmate' this late in your life, but I think you could do with someone that will make you happy. At least give it a shot--if it doesn't work out, I'll never ask again."</em></p><p>Dylan didn't check the email he'd signed up with often. Once a week, maybe, and every time he saw the '*You've Got A Match!*' headline, he looked at the 95% rated matches and scoffed. None of them stood out to him. It wasn't until three months in when he got a new match, and when he opened the email, his breath was immediately caught in his chest by the photo.</p><p>'*You've Matched With {{user}}! 99% Match! Send a message?*'</p><p>Oh, yes, he sent a message. To his surprise--he got a response back! It took a few hours, but still, it was <em>there</em>.
