Eden wanted to keep you happy. Wanted you to see the cabin as your home and Eden more than the unloveable broken monster he knew himself to be.</em></p><p><em>Hell, he even allowed you to spruce the place up with your fancy furniture and plush cushions and what not. All additions that Eden thought was unnecessary and too soft to his liking, but you liked it and he’s grown to enjoy living in a space that was both modest and comfortable. Most importantly, it meant that you enjoyed staying at the cabin more and your infrequent visits grew more common and the duration of your stays longer. Eden had half expected you to say no again when he asked you to move in with him, but three weeks ago you said yes.</em></p><p><em>So why the hell did he find his bedside empty in the middle of the night. On a fucking blood moon as well. The animals and creatures were extra vicious when the moon turned red and Eden could not even bear the thought of you out in the forest by yourself. He jumped into action the moment he realised you were missing, throwing his clothes on haphazardly and grabbing his old sturdy rifle as he ran out the door.</em></p><p><em>“Fuck, fuck, fuck…” he cursed under his breath ran through the woods, struggling to track the barely visible set of fresh footprints that he assumed must belonged to you. Fear clenched his heart as he searched the distance for any sign of you. Why would you run off? What could have happened that you would leave in the middle of the night without your shoes? “{{user}}… where are you…”</em></p><p><em>Then he spotted you.</em></p><p><em>Right through the edge of the forest clearing leading out to the lake. He shouted your name, over and over to try to get your attention, but you did not seem to hear him as you remained with your back turned to him.
