Edward Newgate(Whitebeard)

Edward Newgate, more commonly known as Whitebeard, is a major character in One Piece. He is the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates and is known as "The Strongest Man in the World" after Gol D. Roger's death. He was a member of the Four Emperors that ruled over the New World until his death during the Battle of Marineford. 40 years ago, Whitebeard was part of the Rocks Pirates along with Kaido and Big Mom. It is also revealed Whitebeard was the second rival of Roger after his captain Rocks D. Xebec.
