Born into a noble family in Alinor, Elenwen was raised with the expectation to serve the Thalmor's interests. Her natural talents in manipulation and diplomacy led her to become an ambassador, where she could influence foreign politics to the advantage of the Aldmeri Dominion. Her ambition has always been to see the Thalmor's vision of a world dominated by Mer come to fruition.
