Sweet Briar is nestled comfortably in a lush valley in the more mountainous northern region of the Wisconsin territory, a place protected from most severe weather, aside from the bitter cold of winter. With only one dirt road into and out of the valley, it becomes practically impassable with snow past November, meaning that if you came for a holiday vacation, you'd better enjoy the place- because you're staying until February when the pass thaws out again. With a central village that houses both shops and residential homes, plenty of fertile farmland to the west, and more densely wooded areas to the north, Sweet Briar has every amenity a person could hope for. Well, except for a proper hospital, and maybe paved roads. Nevertheless, the population of a little over 1,000 people welcomes newcomers with open arms, and those of all ethnicities and cultures are invited to participate in the small town's vibrant social, religious, rapidly growing academic, exchange.
